Free Bee Network
The objective:
The Free Bee Network has a goal to get more bees, healthy bees, out into the world. The best way to do that is to get more beekeepers up and running.
By promoting local cooperation and support of area beekeepers, the Free Bee Network thinks we can do this.
It’s easy to be a partner of the Free Bee Network, all you have to do is raise healthy honey bees and give them, at least some of them, to a new beekeeper or to someone who really needs a hand up in getting started again.
Soon in the future, the Free Bee Network will be given it’s own website and will have a completely independent standing. Bee a part of that growth, become a Free Bee Network partner today.
There is potential for huge growth in terms of meeting each other, local, regional and national conferences. Educational opportunities such as mentor matching and classes specific to various aspects, methods and hives in beekeeping. The opportunities are endless.
Please feel free to be part of the community at our forum section.
More bees, more beekeepers. Making both better along the way
Free Bee Network partners are like the boy scouts of beekeeping.
We promise to:
Give a colony of honey bees for free to a beekeeper, bee they new or established, just starting out or recovering from a huge loss.
Bee a mentor and good neighbor to other beekeepers. lend a hand when you can and help keep those bees healthy and alive.
That’s it. See how easy it is to be a Free Bee Network partner?
Soon we will bee offering logos that can be added to Free Bee Network partners web sites and blogs. We would love to (and plan to) introduce all kinds of nice perks and benefits to help reward and promote the Free Bee Network and let the world know we are part of a project that is doing something besides just talking about the problems.
We will be listing every partner and a picture of their apiary right here and will have contact information available so people can find an FBN partner in their area.
To become a Free Bee Network partner, just email Big Bear at bigbear at bbe-tech.com to get added to the list and we will add you to the official partner list below.
What about the free bees?
For people wanting to get assistance from Free Bee Network partners, please remember that the partners are doing this to bee active, involved members and positively promoting beekeeping and honey bees. There are no unlimited supplies of bees, they can only give as many as they have to give, the more partners who join FBN, the more bees available out there. If you receive free bees from a Free Bee Network partner, consider becoming an FBN partner yourself and extend your hand out as one was extended to you.
There are no guarantees about the survival of the bees that are given away, so much of those colonies success depends on the person who is getting the bees and how well they work with the bees. and even then, with CCD and mites and other problems facing bees, well, this is why we need to get more healthy colonies out in the world and more beekeepers who want to help make that happen.
