Field Test: Evictor – 24 hour check

Observations;

By 7:30 am, the owner was on premesis and fog has completely dissipated.   Cedar scent was very strong still.

At 8:30 am owner opened front store door to air out location for approx 1 hour. (store owner noted that, having recent issues with pneumonia, the scent of the product even 12 hours later was “too much” for her and had to take breaks outside.  Other workers in the store reported no difficulties.)

At approx 9 am employee turned on air transfer fan in back area.

Owner has noticed a few (1-15) pest remains in various areas.

By 2pm, one live pest was seen walking across front area floor.

Was the single live specimen a “survivor” of the treatment?  I believe it likely to be a “new visitor” from infested space next door.

Future Thought:

Spray in all horizontal and vertical crevices prior to fogging treatment in addition to the follow-up afterward.  This is the advice of the distributor on the premise that pests will scatter and be driven into the “kill zone” thus causing a higher mortality rate, leaving fewer to retreat to un-treated neighboring spaces.

Provide warning to accupants that if there are people with lung/breathing concerns, the aroma in the following 24 hours is something to keep in mind.

The oily residue of the product on the sold surfaces as the fog settles can leave tile or other non wood surfaces slippery.

Next Steps:

Check again in 7 days to determine residual effects.  At 10-14 days, do a spray follow up with PCO formulation, spraying all vertical and horizontal crevices.
