I was at a house hold Auction and pick up some old wooden hives how do you clean them?

If I were to get old used hives,  I would scrape the insides first, then scorch the insides with a torch.  This would help to kill spores and bacteria that may be there  (nosema, afb, etc...)

I just scorched mine with my weedburner and it worked great.  The smell was awesome!  Now I just gotta figure out a way to bottle that scent for my new line of cologne!
